Writing, imprinting on an moleskine an event, a sensation, a place.
I composed a diary for every trip, where I wrote down what I saw through writing.I have told the places with our eyes. I have written about particular places where you should go at least once.Of course they are only fragments of life, crumbs that can enrich a trip even just by reading.

July 3, 2008
, after changing the clothing from the light of Tuscany, to the heavy and rainy of brittany France we leave, under the water. It is 10.20 and the bike marks 5,323 km. The road is always the same: Milan Turin Sestriere Montgenèvre, it pours rain the fear of falling is very high, here we are in Grenoble. We decide to stop hoping for tomorrow. We stay overnight at the hotel Nice nothing special, it has the garage for the motorbike, for us salvation. We change, put everything to dry in the rooms, and look for a restaurant, we find a pizzeria where we go hungry.
4th of July Here's hope, it doesn't rain, only clouds, enough for us to be able to proceed faster towards our goal. In motion, the great communication routes, to say the suspended viaducts are very dangerous, because there is always violent air, so we have to take sheltered and secondary roads thus extending the route. We take the N7 for Lyone then after having spent some time in its labyrinth of ring roads, we take for Roanne. We stop in Avermes.
Here we are in Orleans, its gardens are very nice and welcoming, we stop right here
in this place with a nice stuffed baguette and we rest, the day proceeds cloudy.
The goal is approaching we are in Blois we wanted to stop, but being the Loire valley find it
place to sleep in July is really difficult, so we proceed to Chaumont Sur Loire
We find a Chambre d'hotes, the structure is full, but the manager, very kind, telephones a family a little further on who rents rooms. Perfect tonight we will sleep at the Maison des Pecheurs. We climb the steep steps of an improbable spiral staircase, the bags of the motorbikes, even if small, struggle to pass, however once we get to the floor the room is divine, the windows overlook a fabulous Loire at sunset. We are crazy hungry and ask Ms. Rosita, the owner of the room. She hangs up on the phone to reserve us a table at the restaurant just beyond, finding the last table adorable, everyone. Today was a lucky day, even for the time that has stabilized.
After a hearty breakfast, with house cake, jams made by the family and
croissants, we reluctantly leave that warm community. We say goodbye to Ms. Rosita and turn our tires towards Chenonceau, visit the enchanting castle (10euro). The clouds are heavy and now release all the badness on our suits, we run away to Cholet. Although we are still in the Loire we notice many closed structures, fortunately the dear and old Campanile is always and everywhere. (72 euros with breakfast)
The water and the gusts of wind hinder us, so much so that we stop under some bridges. We see the Nantes sign, hold on and go to Croisic
where finally the house we had booked makes its appearance. As often we do we rely on B&B of Gite d'Hotes. We enter the driveway on foot leaving the bike on the road. A very old lady with a stick comes to open the house. The woman makes us sit in the small hallway. We look around it looks like one of those Hitchcock house
gloomy, paintings everywhere stairs covered with carpets. She shows up again without a stick, directs us towards the rooms on the first floor, we go up with our suitcases and she turns on the stairs and
once she arrives on the floor she goes down and shows us one of the 4 rooms that are on the large landing full of furnishings. The room is large and also the bathroom, of course without a bidet, but we are used to not seeing it. The wallpaper is somewhat unique and has purple and black flowers with a pink background, pink is the leitmotif of the small apartment. The wardrobes are in the wall, it seems to be inside a gift box, the one you buy for birthdays. With pj we paid 55 euros per night.
the abundant breakfast is served by Mrs. who for the occasion has dressed, made up and combed well, says that nobody helps her and that she enjoys hosting
tourists despite her 84 years, the cakes we see on the oval table are all made by her.
Two other guests arrive, a French couple, who came by train and bike from Paris.
We say goodbye and change for a walk in the city, the sky is finally without a cloud, after a few kilometers also on the windy cliff, we take the motorbike and go to La Baule, then Pouliguen and Pornichet, beautiful villages we return to the Croisic peninsula between salt marshes and ocean, at low tide has a charm that cannot be explained. We eat for the last time on the ocean tomorrow morning, we will already have to deal with the way back.
We say goodbye to Ms. Pluche, who wanted to load us with food, really nice,
from initial distrust, now she looks like a granny who
Invia comta his grandchildren. We also move away from Croisic. To return we will do only highways, wind permitting. Nantes, Tour, Bourges, in Montlucon we stop to sleep at the Premiere Classe 44.60 with pj, never again. Roenne, Sainte Etienne, Voiron, Vizille Briancon we enter Italy which is 10 pm, Turin and Milan. Arrived at 4.30 in the morning.
We left for Tuscany on June 26th with 2482 km and returned from Brittany on July 11th with the odometer of the bike that marks 8521
holidays 2008 tot km 5717
